A whole day dedicated to the Boscoforte Peninsula, a fragile yet incredibly rich environment, poised between land and water. Expert ornithologists and naturalists will explore this ecosystem from a faunal, botanical and historical perspective.
Each participant will be provided with their own pair of binoculars.
The walking route is approximately 5 km long and is suitable for everyone. You’ll reach the starting point on foot after a short walk along the banks of the River Reno.

9.00 am | Guided Excursion organised by Asoer – Emilia-Romagna Ornithologists’ Association
Join a guided excursion to discover the extraordinary biodiversity of Boscoforte, accompanied by our guides and experts from AsOER – the Emilia-Romagna Ornithologists’ Association.
During the walk, you’ll have the chance to observe the area’s natural habitats and learn more about the bird species that live there, discovering interesting facts, observation techniques and the importance of protecting this precious ecosystem.
AsOER is a non-profit voluntary organisation which, since 2000, has been promoting research, monitoring and public awareness of the birdlife of Emilia-Romagna, collaborating with public and private bodies and associations to foster knowledge and conservation of the region’s natural heritage.
11.00 am | Guided Walk with our nature guides
Let our guides take you on a journey of discovery through Boscoforte, a nature reserve of extraordinary value, where water, woodland and the valley come together to create a unique ecosystem. During the tour, you’ll explore the reserve’s most characteristic habitats, discovering interesting facts about the flora, fauna and history of this place, with stops dedicated to observing the landscape and its inhabitants.
3.00 pm | Guided Tour (Special guest guide: Francesco Barberini, a rising star in ornithology and birdwatching)
A special opportunity to explore Boscoforte accompanied by Francesco Barberini, a young science communicator and passionate ornithologist, regarded as one of the most promising Italian voices in the world of birdwatching.During the excursion, Francesco will guide participants in observing the birdlife and natural habitats of the area, sharing interesting facts, species identification techniques and the importance of conserving this precious ecosystem.
5.00 pm | Book launch for children: “L’oasi dove nascono i colori” (Giunti) – Meet the author, Stefano Bonazzi.
An event for children and families with Stefano Bonazzi, author of the book *L’oasi dove nascono i colori* (Giunti). Set in the picturesque Po Delta, the story follows Aurora and Teodoro, who, during a visit to the Pink Flamingo Oasis, are met with an incredible surprise: the flamingos come in every colour except pink! This marks the start of an adventure full of mysteries, surprising encounters and curious animals. An opportunity to hear the story told by the author himself, discover the secrets hidden within the pages of the book and let yourself be swept away by the magic of nature and imagination.
6.30 pm | Reading in the Romagna dialect by Gianni Parmiani
A moment dedicated to local tradition and culture with Gianni Parmiani (excerpts from Dante’s *Inferno* in the Romagna dialect, by F. Talanti), who will present a reading of passages from Dante Alighieri’s *Inferno* in F. Talanti’s translation into the Romagna dialect. This event, part of the photographic project ‘S. Alberto, the village of poets’, offers an opportunity to rediscover the value of the dialect as a cultural and linguistic heritage, through an engaging reinterpretation of one of the masterpieces of Italian literature.
Following Gianni Parmiani’s reading in the Romagna dialect, there will be an opportunity to join a toast in Boscoforte at a cost of €3 per person. Payment must be made on the spot.
